Maple and Cinnamon Cranberry Sauce

This cranberry sauce is super easy and incredibly yummy! Sweetened with maple syrup for a golden sweet taste, cinnamon to add a hint of spice and orange to enhance the flavours! I cannot believe I used to always buy shop bought when this is so easy and so much better!



- 300g Fresh Cranberries

- 150g Maple Syrup ( or slightly less if you prefer it more tart!)

- 100ml Water

- Juice and zest 1 Orange

- 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon


- Place all ingredients into a small sauce pan apart from cinnamon and orange juice and zest. Place on medium to high heat and bring to a boil. You should hear the cranberries "pop!". Once starts to boil, reduce heat to medium to low and simmer for 8-10 minutes and stirring occasionally, as this allows the mixture to thicken up! 

- Remove from the heat and add in both orange juice and zest, as well as cinnamon, give a thorough mix! Taste test and make sure the mixture is sweet enough for you, as cranberries are known to be super tart! Once happy with mixture, serve straight away or store in air tight jar for a few days!
